How do I unsubscribe from email campaigns%3F

A Lead or a Contact is added to a subscription list by the CRM user based on certain filter conditions created by the user.

How to unsubscribe from a list ?

Case 1 : When a recipient is subscribed to only one list

Clicking on the unsubscribe link in the email campaign will unlink him from receiving further emails from that service. This will also enable the “Email opt out” field in the detail view of that Contact / Lead.

Case 2: When a recipient is subscribed to multiple lists

Clicking on unsubscribe link will open a page that shows all the lists that he was subscribed for. Recipient can select the corresponding lists that he wishes to unsubscribe from. If they wish to unsubscribe from all of the lists, they can simply click on the last option that says “Never send me any mails from this company” and relieve them from receiving any future campaigns from that company. This will also enable the “Email opt out” field in the detail view of that Contact / Lead.

Case 3 : What happens when a customer record is having Email opt-out enabled ?

If the Contact / Lead is having Email opt-out option enabled he will be opted-out for all the future campaigns from the company even he satisfies the conditions created by the CRM user.

Note!
The CRM user can manually disable the Email opt-out option if the recipient wishes to be included again to the subscription list.
