Users

Users are employees in your organization who can log into their Simply CRM accounts, access information, and perform tasks according to permissions that have been defined to them. In Simply, admin users have the ability to create user accounts. Simply CRM supports two types of users: admin users and standard users.


Adding New Users


Users with admin rights have the ability to add new users. The process of adding new users has been revamped.

Here’s how to add new users in Simply CRM

  1. Click gear icon Setting.png in the upper right.
  2. Click Manage Users
  3. Click Add User.

6. In the User Name field, provide desired user name.
7. Enable the Admin check-box to grant admin privileges.
8. In the Password field provide appropriate password which will be emailed to that user. After logging in, users can change their corresponding passwords.
9. In the Confirm Password field, re-enter the password you’ve provided earlier.
10. In the Primary Email field provide user’s unique email address that hasn’t been used before. After the account creation, an email will be sent on this email address.
11. In the Status field, select Active to have the users log in and access their accounts; select Inactive to restrict users from accessing their Simply CRM accounts.
12. In the First Name and Last Name fields, provide users’ first and last names respectively
13. In the Default Lead View field
14. In the Role field, select appropriate appropriate role of the user in role hierarchy

15. After filling up the fields, click Save

Deleting Users


You can delete user accounts to terminate their access to Simply CRM. After delete, users will not be able to log into Simply CRM anymore.

Here’s how to delete users

  1. Click gear icon Setting.png in the upper right.
  2. Click Manage Users
  3. In the list view of users, click on VtigerBin1.png icon to delete corresponding user
  4. Before deleting the user, you’ll be prompted to transfer records to selected user in your Simply CRM account

  1. Select desired user from the dropdown to transfer records
  2. Click Save
